Elite's GAME FACE Wins G3 First
Lady
January 18, 2009
- GULFSTREAM PARK -
Elite Horse Racing has had many successes in its short history,
but one of its first was the purchase and later sale of multiple
graded stake winner GAME FACE. Already the winner of the
G2 Old Hat and G3 La Troienne in 2008, she
returned to Gulfstream Park to the seven furlong distance she
seems to relish to win the 2009 running of the G3 First Lady.
With five wins from nine starts, GAME FACE now has career
earnings of $353,834 for new owner Zabeel Racing.
Congratulations to her connections. (TDN

LANGS LASH Runs A Courageous Third
In G2 Lowther S.
August 23, 2008 -
NEWMARKET, ENG. - Trying six furlongs for the first time,
Elite Racing's LANGS LASH, victorious in her effort in the G2
Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, finished a game and courageous third
in the G2 Lowther S on Saturday. Historically run at York,
the week's incredible weather caused the race to be rescheduled
at Newmarket, with its hill perhaps the difference in the race.
LANGS LASH carried three pounds more than the others, yet still
maintained a good settled lead for most of the race. With
only strides to the wire, the weight and the hill aided the
effort of eventual winner INFAMOUS ANGEL, but this effort leaves
LANGS LASH "the best horse at the weights". (Chart)
RACING POST Comments
in Running:
"Langs
Lash improved on her York Listed second when springing a
surprise in the Queen Mary, making just about all on the best
ground, and this required anotherstep forward, up to 6f for the
first time and having to concede a 3lb penalty. She was quickly
into her stride, settled nicely on the rail and gradually wound
up the tempo under a well-judged ride, momentarily looking to
have them all beaten, but the final climb to the line found her
out. This was a brave effort and she emerges as the best
horse at the weights."

Lowther and Cheveley
Park the plan for LANGS LASH
Queen Mary
Stakes winner Langs Lash is amongst 77 fillies
entered in the Group One Cheveley Park Stakes at
Newmarket on Friday, October 3.
The daughter of
Noverre was an impressive winner on her debut at
Folkestone on May 1 before finding Bahamian Babe half a
length too good at York in a Listed contest on May 15.
However, she had that rival well-beaten in 10th at the
Royal Meeting and looks set to tackle six furlongs for
the first time in the Group Two Lowther Stakes at York
on August 21 en route to Newmarket.
"I suspect the
Lowther will go well," Noel Quinlan, assistant trainer
to his brother, said today: "The first part of the plan
for Langs Lash is the Lowther Stakes. Depending how that
goes and I suspect it will go well, she will be a
definite for the Cheveley Park Stakes. (Entire

WON AWESOME DUDE Wins Claiming
Crown Jewel
August 2, 2008 -
SHAKOPEE, MN - While the 2008 Syndicate has just begun to
see the talent of its two-year-old filly LUXAHOLIC emerge, her
half brother WON AWESOME DUDE continues to help the pedigree add
to its commercial viability by winning the $150,000 Claiming
Crown Jewel. Already a stake winner of the Tony Sanchez
Memorial Mile earlier this spring, WON AWESOME DUDE qualified
for the Claiming Crown after running for a tag in his maiden
race at Lone Star Park. Running a stalking race this time,
WON AWESOME DUDE circled the field and caught the leader in
mid-stretch to win by a length to capture the top purse of the
day at $150,000. In the meantime, LUXAHOLIC continues to
post bullet works, showing a bit of early brilliance and the
capability to make a further impact on this pedigree.

G2 Dance Smartly At Woodbine
July 12,
2008-WOODBINE-Facing some of the same company as she had in
her last starts, THE NIAGARA QUEEN had it her way this time to
win the G2 Dance Smartly at Woodbine. Breaking near the
lead while rival SANS SOUCI ISLAND took her time leaving the
gate, Elite Horse Racing's chestnut daughter of LANGFUHR was
quickly to the lead by the half mile pole. Able to slow
the pace to maintain a comfortable lead for the majority of the
race, THE NIAGARA QUEEN was chased by place filly SPRUNG, but
THE NIAGARA QUEEN "responded smartly" in the stretch to prevail
for her first win in Graded company. (Click

LANGS LASH (IRE) Victorious At Royal Ascot

June 18, 2008 -
ASCOT - She was aimed for this race early in the year,
and jockey Alan Munro knew this filly was very game and
extremely quick. However apparently the bettors were not
so sure, letting LANGS LASH (IRE), a two-year-old filly by NOVERRE,
leave the gate at 25-1 in Royal Ascot's G2 Queen Mary Stakes.
Trainer M. Quinlan and jockey Alan Munro were quickly awarded
for their confidence when LANGS LASH defeated a field of seventeen top class juvenile
fillies
The attractive bay was quickly away from the start. Jockey
Alan Munro is quoted as saying "...she's shown a lot of speed -
she's shown so much we were at the two-furlong pole before I
knew where I was." From that point LANGS LASH (IRE) never
looked behind, leading to the wire gamely holding off SHYRL to
beat her by a neck. Congratulations to all involved with
LANGS LASH (IRE)'s tenacious win and thank you to all of Elite
Racing's 2008 Syndicate for your support. (Racing

Elite Stable Purchases Stake Placed
LANGS LASH (IRE)
June 16, 2008 -
NEWMARKET, ENGLAND - Elite Stable announced Monday that its
2008 Syndicate privately purchased stake placed LANGS LASH.
The two-year-old bay daughter of NOVERRE broke her maiden by
four lengths on the first day of May, not being shown the whip.
Only two weeks later, the filly was second by only a half length
in the listed Marygate S. at York. With a few weeks to
freshen, LANGS LASH will make her next start in the G2
Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 18. One of
England's most prestigious races for two-year-old fillies, this
spot will prove to be full of top class runners (read
the nominations). Certainly placing in this race would
not only increase the value of this young attractive filly
significantly, but it would also be a huge promotion for Elite
Racing Stable as a top class racing entity. For more

entire profile.
Elite Stable's SKY HAVEN Breaks
Maiden Impressively
June 11, 2008 -
ERIE, PA - Recently purchased by Elite Racing, SKY HAVEN
took no time at all to get to the races and break her maiden.
Entered in a Maiden Special event against Pennsylvania breds at
Presque Isle Downs, SKY HAVEN easily beat a short field to claim
the $50,000 purse. Ducking in just a bit at the start, SKY
HAVEN found herself in a stalking position down the backstretch.
She made a strong move in the turn to overtake the leader and
was set down to finish professionally through the stretch.
The two-year-old finished the race in :54.78 and won by a
seven length margin. Look for SKY HAVEN to continue
running at Presque Isle Downs, collecting the strong state bred
money being offered, and perhaps earning black type.
Elite Stable Grad GAME FACE Wins G3
La Troienne
May 3, 2008 -
LOUISVILLE, KY - Purchased off her maiden win by Zabeel
Racing International, the chestnut daughter of MENIFEE was
making her start in the G3 La Troienne off her second place
finish in the Devona Dale G2 at Gulfstream Park. Breaking
sharply, the filly was game in the backstretch, running just off
SECRET GYPSY who led in the early going. In the turn, GAME
FACE found the rail to be wide open and zipped along it to gain
the lead. After a stretch dual with KEEP THE PEACE, GAME
FACE gained the lead under the wire to win by a neck.
Congratulations to owner Zabeel Racing and trainer Todd Pletcher.

Beginners Luck - ROYAL CARD Wins First Start
April 19, 2008 -
LEXINGTON, KY - Call it Beginner's Luck, call it the Luck Of
The Irish, call it whatever you would like, but the members of
the 2008 Elite Syndicate called it nothing but awesome when
their first starter ROYAL CARD broke her maiden in a race named
for her sire CHAPEL ROYAL. The dark bay filly was nothing
but calm and professional for trainer Todd Pletcher in the
paddock. But once on the track the filly got a bit
anxious, unseating her rider and running off for about a
furlong. With a bit of schooling at the gate to persuade
her in, ROYAL CARD found herself breaking sharply and running
down the shoot with the leaders. Once in the turn, ROYAL
CARD was asked for run, circling the two leaders to her inside
and gamely ran on, passing them both in the stretch to win by a
length and three quarters. The running time for the four
and a half furlong race was 50:4. Congratulations to all
2008 Syndicate members and best of racing luck to ROYAL CARD.

Syndicate Update: WON AWESOME DUDE Wins Stake
April 19, 2008 -
The 2008 Syndicate has not yet closed, but if the weekend is any
indication, the 2008 Syndicate could be wildly successful.
A half brother to 2008 Syndicate stable member '06 MACHO UNO -
LIL PUNKINDO, WON AWESOME DUDE (Awesome Again), won the Tony
Sanchez Memorial Mile S. to earn black type for the mare.
The pedigree catalogues quite well as LIL PUNKINDO, a stake
winner and salty enough runner in her own right, is now a stake
producer. Whatever the '06 MACHO UNO - LIL PUNKINDO
accomplishes at the racetrack will now be icing on the
proverbial cake as the filly is such an attractive individual
herself, that this update should increase her residual value
nicely.
2008 Syndicate Stable Member ROYAL
CARD To Run At Keeneland
April 18, 2008 -
LEXINGTON, KY - The 2008 Syndicate hopes to get lucky with
ROYAL CARD, its first to try the starting gate on race day.
In a The dark bay daughter of CHAPEL ROYAL runs in the race that
bears her sire's name on Ashford's day at the races at
Keeneland. Coming into the race off a string of very sharp
works, ROYAL CARD looks to be very tough in this maiden special
event. With any racing luck, ROYAL CARD could provide the
2008 Syndicate with a win from only its first starter. (Read
